In 2025, a group of scholars came together with the shared goal of creating a space for feminist demography. I’m honored to be part of this inspiring group of colleagues, mentors, and friends who are working to bring this vision to life. Our first gathering was a member-initiated meeting at PAA 2025.

 

The Feminist Demography Collective seeks to advance the field of demography by critically assessing its historical roots, advancing rigorous research informed by feminist theories, and demanding accountable research practices that are human- and community-centered.
